Rhys Williams

Rhys has extensive experience of process consultancy. He has worked on a variety of process re-engineering, ISO 9000, Target Operating Model and SIAM projects at Barclays, SWIFT, NatWest, Electrolux, AMT-Sybex, BT, Friends Provident, Zurich, BG Group, British American Tobacco, Experian, Jupiter Fund Management Plc, Telefónica O2, Allied Irish Bank, Deutsche Bank, Aldermore Bank, Old Mutual Wealth and Southern Water. Rhys also managed a multi-million pound project at Tesco Property Services, to develop and implement a web-based knowledge management system.

He has worked on several  SIAM projects:

  • Development of a process framework for a large multi-vendor outsourcing project at Allied Irish Bank.
  • Input to the development of future-state operating model and definition and production of the SIAM framework, processes, policies, KPIs and other supporting documents at Old Mutual Wealth.
  • Development and review of best-practice commercial / vendor management processes as part of a $5 billion SIAM project at Deutsche Bank.
  • Designing the service management aspects of a multi-million pounds bid for the Emergency Services Network at Telefónica O2.

Some of his other major achievements have been:

  • Development and implementation of an IT Target Operating Model at British American Tobacco.
  • Managing the transition of applications management services to an outsourcing partner to achieve the target $25 million saving at BG Group.
  • Leading the successful implementation of end-to-end project delivery and project management processes for Zurich UK Life.
  • Managing the implementation of a web-based Knowledge Management System at Tesco Property Services.
  • Implementing a Global Process Framework (across numerous international locations) at Electrolux IT Solutions.

Rhys has the ISEB Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITIL), a wide experience of eliciting and mapping ‘as-is’ and designing ‘to-be’ processes and driving process implementation and is an experienced process consultant.

He has knowledge of industry best practices and standards, including ITIL and ISO 9000 series, and their practical application, is an effective communicator, influencer and negotiator with proven experience of facilitating workshops and meetings and has built up a substantial library of best practice SIAM and ITIL-type processes.
