Rhys Williams

Rhys has extensive experience of process consultancy. He has worked on a variety of process re-engineering, ISO 9000, ITIL, Target Operating Model and SIAM projects in the Banking and Finance, Telecommunications, Utilities, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing and Retail Property sectors. 

Rhys is ITIL qualified, has a broad experience of eliciting and mapping ‘as-is’ and designing ‘to-be’ processes and driving process implementation and is an experienced process consultant. He has knowledge and experience of industry best practices and standards, including ITIL and ISO 9000 series, and their practical application, is an effective communicator, influencer and negotiator with proven experience of facilitating workshops and meetings and has built up a substantial library of best practice Service Management processes.

Some of his major achievements have been:

  • Development of a process framework for a large multi-vendor outsourcing project at Allied Irish Bank.
  • Input to the development of future-state operating model and definition and production of the SIAM framework, processes, policies, KPIs and other supporting documents at Old Mutual Wealth. This work supported the implementation of ServiceNow.
  • Development and review of best-practice commercial / vendor management processes as part of a $5 billion SIAM project at Deutsche Bank.
  • Designing the service management aspects of a multi-million pounds bid for the Emergency Services Network at Telefónica O2.
  • Development and implementation of an IT Target Operating Model at British American Tobacco.
  • Managing the transition of applications management services to an outsourcing partner to achieve the target $25 million saving at BG Group.
  • Leading the successful implementation of end-to-end project delivery and project management processes for Zurich UK Life.
  • Managing the implementation of a web-based Knowledge Management System at Tesco Property Services.
  • Implementing a Global Process Framework (across numerous international locations) at Electrolux IT Solutions.

Michael Durkin (Associate)

Michael is an experienced and skillful Transformation Programme Director with a strong track record in delivering people, process and technology enabled change. He uses a clear and structured approach to ensure clearly defined benefits are delivered and realised on time and to budget. He is often called upon to recover and turn around failing programmes, contracts and teams.

Some of Michael's key achievements have been:

  • Managing the development of the Capita Private Cloud - Capita IT Enterprise Services flagship offering, based on VCE / EMC / VMWare / CISCO and vBlock technologies and application stack. Includes data centre migration of circa 5000 legacy servers and underpinning network connectivity.
  • Successful direction of the IT Programme delivering a series of new Target Operating Models that provided the technology systems and services enabling the UK Government's Pensions Regulator to introduce and operate the new Employee Compliance Regime which ensures all UK nationals are automatically enrolled into approved pension schemes.
  • Directed the Medical Services bid for Atos Healthcare that secured a £300m extension to the BPO contract with the DWP. 
  • Directed the team that bid for, won and delivered the DWP IB-Reassessment programme and Medical Services Security Accreditation (IL3IL4) programme TCV £50m
  • Delivery Director working at executive level, for successful joint IBM / Atos bid, winning the UKBA / IPS Integrated Case Working programme for the Home Office.
  • Recovery Programme manager for Atos and Home Office / UKBA - went onto win "Best Technology Improvement" project in the Home Office Supplier Value Awards programme in 2008. 
  • Practice Manager responsible for client liaison, product development, implementation and on-going support of market leading Police Command and Control System (STORM), Court Custody and Case Admin system, delivering margins in excess of 40% year on year.
  • Invited by world class Leadership Development organisation to become a visiting tutor providing coaching, mentoring and development to executive and senior management from FTSE100 or equivalent organisations from around the world.

Simon Forster (Associate)

Simon is a knowledge, information, document and content management specialist and has worked in knowledge, information, document and change management for over 15 years in the NHS and Government, Oil and Gas, Retail Construction, Telecommunications and Research sectors. 

Simon has a real passion for helping people share information and knowledge, through projects, to analyse a company’s information and knowledge needs and matching them to the appropriate solutions, people and processes.

He has implemented knowledge bases, wikis, intranets, extranets, client knowledge, knowledge management, cloud, scanning and document management systems and processes into companies including Tesco Property Services, Northants County Council, Independent Police Complaints Commission, NHS, energy companies and BT. 

Simon is extremely organised and passionate about usability and an avid follower of the Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology. He has built his own personal task management system in Nozbe (which he introduced into the NHS) and has a personal document management system in Evernote that has allowed him to go paperless at home.

Simon lives in Birmingham and can work anywhere in central England including London, Midlands and Manchester.
